this was my first attempt at using clay. i went to an art academy and there was a sculpting instructor to teach us the basics of clay. we created the pose in our head and asked a live model to pose for us.

actually, i was lucky enough to make in a three week art program last summer. we did a week and a half of sculpting and a week and a half of oils. best experience ever.

Did you use chicken wire for the cloth on the back? because it looks like it would break off without support. Really great model, great detail on the gun and the legs
